I actually wrote this one as I was looking at a picture on the wall of me and my brothers when we were little. I'm only 14, so I haven't really grown up, and I don't really plan to any time soon. I guess, though, that I am growing up, huh? Unfortunately... Oh well, here it is. GROWING UP Growing up You learn You won’t always Get your turn Some things that took so long To build, will burn Growing up You always change You try something new You expand your range You get taller But your determination gets smaller Growing up Your horizons expand Your hopes enlarge Like a rubber band Each thing in life Seems so grand As you get older Your heart gets bolder You realize that life isn’t so bad And you are glad Just to be alive - Cody [This message has been edited by CwboyAtHeart (edited 04-26-2001).] |

Nicely done! You know, getting older is not something I ever wanted to do. for some odd reason i get massively depressed on all my b-days. I hate my b-days....simply despise them. I gain knowledge and wisdom with time, and by time I obviously mean by growing up....yet......in growing up we go through times....trying times and great times.....either way, and in my situation, the trying times happen more than the great times, and frankly I learn more about myself from the tryimg times. I never look forward to that, but hey....it's life....and life is beautiful.....for the most part  . I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |
