Georgie and the Dragon.

The dragon was a hungry thing
And ate a flock of sheep,
So Georgie stabbed it in the wing,
When he found it fast asleep,

The Dragon wasn’t happy,
As he whistled in the wind,
So he put Georgie in a nappy,
Said that he had sinned,

So Georgie got a lot of ropes,
Tied the dragon to a tree,
But against all of Georgies’ hopes,
The dragon struggled free,

The dragon was quite angry,
The attack had been unprovoked,
He had only been a bit hungry,
With a lance he had been poked,

The Dragon sought revenge that day,
And so he burned down Georgie’s house,
He burned down every bale of hay,
And ate up Georgie’s spouse,

Georgie found the monster,
Who denied the whole affair,
Said it was another,
Some ugly thing with hair,

But he had seen the great green beast,
Eating up his dear,
Washing down his human feast,
With several barrels of beer,

Georgie started his attack,
But the dragon flew away,
Georgie begged for him to turn back,
And let him have his say,

Now dragons ain’t half-witted,
But the dragon he turned round,
Georgie thought he had submitted,
As the dragon lay on the ground,

The dragon rose on his hind legs,
And burned down old Sherwood,
Reduced the great oaks down to pegs,
And boiled poor Georgies blood.

Well this is probably the weirdest piece I have written in a while... it does have a point... it is St. George's day on April 23. He's the patron Saint of England, Dragon killer extrodinaire... so get out your english flags and say happy St. George's day to all your friends and family... alternatively you could go and kill a lot of dragons but they are a protected species after all.Don't worry killing dragons isn't wrong I mean George became a saint because of it... may I wish you all a good evening and happy hunting.

Hey Everyone,
I can't believe that Carly has never heard of St.George... well anyway all he did was rid all of England, Wales and Scotland of dragons, I repeat we are a dragon free zone.!!!
Thanx for all the replies

Great story telling.  You should try prose in the future.  Thanks for sharing
