What is a Dream?

Is it that time of sleep where one's mind wanders?
Is it the thought of your goals coming true?
Is it a reality known to only certain people?
What is a dream?

Is it a false reality or a sense of truthful bliss?
Is it an escape from the truth or a punishment from falsehood?
Is it the best things in life or the worst things in death?
What is a dream?

Is it an annoyance at times that should be exotic?
Is it a fabulous vision in a world of chaos?
Is it a foretelling of the future or a cruel lie?
What is a dream?

I had a thought... this would make a great challenge.

  What is a dream?  Quite the profound question... I'd love to try answering it.
Congrats on the 500 Marie, you truly do deserve it.  You're a wonderful inspiration to all of us and a personal standard that I thrive for in my poetry is getting your approval.

Nicely done here! This was quite deep within questioning what a dream is. I think it's all of the above.....but dream can mean two things.
1. A goal...
2. What occurs during sleepy time.

So yea....but anyhow. I enjoyed this poem.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Gee, 500 seems so long ago, doesn't it?

I did this challenge but it's sitting in a word document at the moment. I like the way you go through all the different aspects of dreams.
