Sunburn

The sun, graft'd unto mine skin
To peel away the layers,
Of concentration and consciousness but
Does its kisses fall like gentling rain? (careless)
Or lasered down with objective, the rays (forceful)
Child o' Apollo,
Lord of lights and ruler about Speed.
Then allow me run through and thro'
Braz'n fields of weeds tumbling skyward.
To dance 'round the sunflowr'd seed
Each of the petals, each
Of the hours of the hows
Filling the whys with questions to learn
Etched into thy memory
Like skin lying under a glowing sun burn.
-------------------------------------------
Tis short, but suits me well methinks

"The heart can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to ocean
Holding the curve of one position
Counting an endless repetition"

It truly does.  I like this one more than most of yours...

This poem has a lot in it and is very difficult to absorb after a single reading (which is a very good thing).  This isn't my favorite poem from you but i still thought it was a very nice piece.  keep writing.

Twas a jolly good poem old bean!
I liked it a lot!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

Very nice job, fozzy.
Keep em coming.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

I'd like an explanation though I already have ideas on what it's about.  Thanks
