Love

Love is the passion felt when I watch the sun rise out of the abyss
and greet me every morning whether I'm polite or
not
Love is the peace that overwhelms me when I gently
lay my head down and take a long glance of the sun saying
goodnight
Love is my burning desire to hold someone in my loneliest hours
when the sun summons me and
I can't resist it's depressed
beckoning
Love is the colors that follow me through my life
just to insure that my passion doesn't dry
out

The imagery in the piece is truly excellent.  This does not fit into the mold that poems about love are generally cast from, which is a very good thing.  good work, keep posting

"love is..." it is so many things. It means different things with every breath we take and with every action. love means something differnt for every person.

I agree with Regina.  Love is so many things... the worst feeling ever, and the best, but definitely the strongest.  Very beautiful post here.  Nice job.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Nicely done here. I liked the poem. I felt it described a few aspects of what Love is....hope to see more.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

Imagery & expression was beautiful. I find it very intriguing.... the explanation of love was well done, even though love is one of the hardest thing to explain. Keep on posting.

Every action of our lives touches some chord that will vibrate in eternity.
