I was scared,
I was all alone,
Then there they were,
They showed me joy.

I was bored with life,
and finding it hard to get up in the morning.
Wishing for something good to happen,
They showed me life is thrilling.

I needed to cry,
I was just so sad,
Pleading for a way out...
It was all because of them.

They showed me I needed to get out.
They showed me I deserved better.
They showed me my heart...
           still beating in their hands.

Not a current sitch. It just goes to show that the people we trust to bring happiness to our lives, can really end up hurting us.   Thanks for reading!

Poet- Some may say so... but I really don't think so. I just save myself some pain. But this isn't really about any man... thanks for reading!

Angel- Thanks, I have been blind in things like this before.... as we always say.. "never again!!" Thanks for replying.

The poem was average, but the last line left an impacting sensation within me. Good job on it.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Well I really liked the whole poem but the ending did not really capture me, but maybe that's just cause I wanted to disagree with Dopey   Yup, that's it.  I actually think you did a really good job on this
