trees all around moon high in the sky sky of black velvet with silver specks of beauity the crackle of pinestraw underfoot where am i? i hear an owl where am i? i see no lights save the moon and stars i know no direction i know no landmarks im in a strange land in the woods at night not my woods at night where am i? i should stop wait for day not move any more not get farther away but i walk on is that a light? the sound of pinestraw underfoot i walk on i should be home by now am i going the right way? where am i? i walk on the moon high in the sky my guiding light and hope i am lost i look to the moon say a silent prayer no response i walk on the destination is all that matters i have to get back have to get home i walk on i smell the pine the air cool and crisp i hear an owl i walk on i look at the sky i breathe the air i lean against a tree i enjoy the night i enjoy the night [This message has been edited by CLBinLOVE (edited 03-14-2001).] |

I thought this was pretty great! nicely done here on this one. The way it was written appealed to me greatly. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

I love the imagery! This is a beautiful poem. Great job! --Marie I never thought that you would ever be the one to let me down. I guess that just goes to show how wrong I always am. |

I've got a picture in my head of someone saying a prayer to the moon now. Very cool. Hope to see more like this. ~AF~ "It is not necessary to change. Survival is not mandatory." |
