>>>Not one of my best but I wrote it a while ago, I've noticed most of my poems are not even 10 lines lately so I figured a longer one was overdue. well n/eways I hope ya like it<<< "Observed Observer" Timeless, formless is the sand A particle of dust that watches the land Stirred by rushing consuming tides Carried by wind in whimsical strides The roar of the ocean and its infinity Rivaled by the call of the birds flying near divinity Endless streams of meandering light Shining from a sun nearly blinding ones sight Sweetness of bright tropical flowers Wrapping ones mind in thought for hours With no thought of the cruelties of life Nor a thought of sadness or strife A land not destroyed still whole still pure With no wars, battles, or hate to endure Beautiful light fading with the setting sun Signifying work is over and the day is done Feeling the warmth of the sun fading to night Looking up at the stars, all marvels of a sight Each one twinkling with it's own special light Inspiring the mind to take it's own flight A shining sphere of light in the night she resides Without a thought or a whim she pushes the tides A salty mist, a cold brisk wind Looking back at seas which have no end Bonds not made of love or trusts Only forceful winds with powerful gusts No need for such things as emotion No loss of trust or lack of devotion The oceans knowing ones depths sky knowing the heights Sharing the warmth of the morning and the darkness of the nights >¶Øʆ< |

So many good lines and couplets to take out but Id fill the whole screen... This captured a beautiful image that is very clear to see... great one.. prolly my favorite of yours ~JDR "Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation." -Oscar Wilde |

I agree with Jeremy. Your imagery in this poem is awesome! Jon "Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine |

I was going to tell you that you don't have to worry about making sure to post longer ones, but now I've decided to ask you to post more Nice job on this one. "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Lakewalker http://www.thehungersite.com |

With no thought of the cruelties of life Nor a thought of sadness or strife A land not destroyed still whole still pure With no wars, battles, or hate to endure I loved that peice. Great poem, it looks like you spent a lot of time on this one. and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me... |

Although this is from ages ago, it is definitely my favourite at the moment! You are such a talented writer that each of these lines jumped off the computer screen at me. These lines are the best: "A shining sphere of light in the night she resides Without a thought or a whim she pushes the tides A salty mist, a cold brisk wind Looking back at seas which have no end" Excellent job, Tony. You rule. ~AF~ Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved." |
