I found this poem in my notes that I wrote a long time ago. I could hardly believe it was my own words. I hope you enjoy.  Fallen In Love With a Concept Winter’s moon is on the rise Set to end on its highest prize The cold sky’s demeanor is all the same Coldness, heartache, fallen fame. These are the thoughts of the cold-hearted mind Why look deeper, you know what you’ll find An empty heart to an empty soul Gone from its mind any hope of being whole. A concept is what you love and desire You who says hearts can burn with love’s fire However when the concept is fully revealed The fire is void, and anger you feel Stop and think about what has been said Is this the truth that you hate and dread Can it be so that you’ve been so ignorant Or am I just another soul, in loves mad torrent |
