She sits and pours her heart out as tears roll down her face trying to wash away memories that can never be erased. She sits contemplating her life trying to make it make sense feeling so bottled up inside life within that little white fence. Searching for the answers that never seem to come wondering if she'll find them while her life is still young. Wondering what life would be outside that picket gate would there be any love or would she just find more hate? She sits and continues dreaming of things that will never be the sun has slowly faded it's getting to dark for her to see. If she could only open the gate and take a step into the light but she can't get past the fence the picket one painted white. (note: This is from my own personal favorites of one I wrote when I was going through some very difficult decision making times in my life. It was special to me. *s*) On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free. Donna Smith [This message has been edited by Gentle Spirit (edited 01-20-2001).] |

Victoria, what is great about it is although wondering about life still lingers at times yet, wondering about alot of what it was written about has left and been replaced.....with life outside the fence. *s* Like the other poem I just wrote Promise is about......life is good. *w* Thanks hon, Hugs. Wow, what great symbolism and voice poured out from your beautiful heart in here. Yes, I have felt this way myself, I felt trapped inside a steel castle gate of sorrow, and I was tugging and tugging at it to try and make my bold escape, but the Gestapo of Doubt scolded me and took me back inside, it was such an awful feeling, but I'm out of that now. But love and light overcomes all, and now you can hop over that split rail fence with pride. Excellent poem! Thank you for sharing, my friend! May love and light always shine upon you! Thanks Noah, the new light does shine, that's why I wrote Promise yesterday. Love is a wonderful thing when you have the right person standing beside you. Hugs. *s* On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free. Donna Smith |
