I'm moving on, killing the fire, soaking the flames of passion, squelching the heat with my tears. Heartache, a form of love expressed outside heavens door; the heart hurts, the soul cries; just as death follows life, we must accept love can pass away. Tears stain all they touch, little remembrances left behind, tiny spots that wash away, like memories disappearing with time. We love, we lose, we cry, we die, all in the space of a lifetime, yet somehow most survive; love is found again, sometimes lost, sometimes not. Me, I'm hanging on, patching the holes in my soul piece by piece, filling the gaps you made with memories of the good we shared, burying, not erasing, the bad, deeper and deeper, adding all to the whole I have become. I'm moving on, killing the fire, soaking the flames of passion, squelching the heat with my tears, searching again, smiling, looking for Love. w. james beard, jr. © January 2001 1/21/01 - not about me - jimmy [This message has been edited by jwesley (edited 01-21-2001).] |

Squelch them for now if you must but never give up hope. There will be a day that comes that brings with it a love that will last forever. As always, you pen your emotions well and the end result is a poem written with excellence. |

My friends of passions...I thank you sincerely for your comments, concerns and wishes...your hearts are truly huge; but, again, this is not about me. I write the plight of others, for those who can't express it in so many words, and in some ways I feel their pain as I am truly empathic with them and can put my emotions in the proper perspective before I write, thereby having a little emotion show in the piece...hopefully. But I personally am not hurting as the piece may show...except maybe temporaily while composing it. Love, now...is something I experience on a very personal level as well as through the experience of others...and hopefully that comes through also... Again, you're a wonderfully compassionate group of friends; I wish I could share you with the world. jimmy [This message has been edited by jwesley (edited 01-21-2001).] |

There is such wisdom graced throughout these words James. Although we can be saddened by the loss of love, there is an uplifting element you've expertly woven throughout these lines. A wonderful read for those searching for inspiration to move forward. Nicely done! Best wishes, /Kit [This message has been edited by Kit McCallum (edited 01-21-2001).] |
