Kenny smiled up
  at me
His smile warm as
   the summer sun
His eyes bright and
   shining with dreams
Read it again
   he pleaded with me
So once again we
   traveled
To far away lands
   of knights and dragons
To Arthur and Merlin
and a sword in a stone
Kenny died this morning
   just like he lived
With courage and
   brightness
With a smile on
   his lips
And a song in his
   little damaged heart
And I know...I know
   somewhere up in heaven
An angel is feeling
   little fingers tug
And hearing that
   little voice say
"READ  IT AGAIN"

Next time you complain about not having anything to do think about this...go to your local hospital...find the childrens ward...pick up  book and read to a kid..give a few minutes of your time to ease a little of their pain...you will walk away feeling 100% better

Paula love, no don't read to them, we'll have them working themselves to cover the hospital expenses. Nothing too hard, scrubbing the floors, making superlatives, colouring the rainbows. Oh and polishing the stars.   And don't say to me that you know I don't do that, I told you I have a whole bunch of the little wretches working their as... sets off.

Wonderful writing from you love, full of your warm heart and love. Perfect really is perfect
Take care love

Oh, twin......this is just so beautiful with it's message, that I can't help but wish there was more I could do.  There is no hospital in my area, but maybe there are kids that could use a friend.  I shall look and see........great writing, but especially so because of the subject!!

Paula my heart is smiling...very nice and rewarding thing you are doing.
I bought my friends daughter a book about Gecko's for Christmas and when I got back from California she ask me to read it to her and she sat there so attentive and enjoyed it so much as I read her that book...reminded me of when I used to read books to my little boys who are grown men now...James

I can't think of a better subject to write about Paula ... we have a friend that nurses in the childrens terminal cancer ward and after over two years she finally admits she's turning into a basket case
