Metaphors Should I tell you my love's a rose Or how I shall die without yours Would you love me the less do you suppose If I didn't or would yours endure Some poets drop metaphors easily Nothing is what it seems I'll use them just when they come to me Or more often resort to dreams Then there are similes likening Your color to nature's seasons Or your curves to clouds brightening And I love you for so many reasons But let’s cut to the chase Love’s as unexplained now as it ever We’ve still got the human race Love continues and will not sever It’s what binds me to you Be your eyes blue or green And we’re bound with glue The most permanent bond ever seen Great souls have wills; feeble ones have only wishes. ~ Chinese Proverb ~ |

I sigh the lack of many a thing I sought. ~Shakespeare~ |

Whether you use metaphors or not, you ALWAYS write on a level that expresses much feeling and your talent for writing is superb. This was no exception and you nailed the flow and rhyme directly on the head. |
