CROSSROADS

I met you whilst walking this path in my life, that finally brought us to here.
Two people together, no more nights alone, or reasons to worry or fear.
But somehow our journey has taken away, a future we both may have planned,
I turn to you helpless in what we can do, unsure in this crossroads we stand.

Will you take the left road, and I take the right, to live out the rest of our days,
Both battle worn in a love always wrong, walking our separate ways.
For so many hours and days I have tried, to seek all these answers I find,
In hope that I never should walk through my life, and leave you somewhere far behind.

I love you much more than you ever could know, these words I have many times told,
Yet now I just find myself searching for love, in feelings now distant and cold.
You cannot explain why you treat me this way, and that you still love me the same,
Well something is wrong in this world we now share, and no-one is taking the blame.

I want from this life just the same as you wish for, to find love and happiness true,
I hold tight a dream that I saw long ago, that the one who could bring this was you.
That two of us somewhere ahead in our lives, would finally get chance to live,
To share in the magic that comes from the heart, to take half as much as we give.

I never did think for a moment in time, we both would be facing this end,
So many questions that need to be answered, and so many problems to mend.
Sometimes there is nothing two people can do, to stop them from drifting apart.
It’s destiny’s way of teaching us things, mistakes we have made from the start.

So who is this woman who took all my heart, the one whom I even could die for,
Is she nothing more than a hope never found, a struggle no more meant to try for.
Or someone who sees me for what I am now, a man just confused and unsure,
I need back the world that I used to believe in, those wishes and dreams from before.

Whatever awaits us in days far ahead, we both have no choice but to choose,
To try and work harder for what we once wanted, or both give up dreaming and loose.
I cannot be sure of the hardships awaiting, or reasons for each new mistake,
But look all around at this crossroads you stand at, and choose which direction you take…

I saw a couple minor grammatical errors, but overall this is excellent.

Fix the typos and you've got yourself a very good poem, with a great sense of rhythm.

Alexander:

I didn't even notice the typos but, I wasn't looking for them either. All I saw and read was an amazing piece of poetry. More then just words true emotions could be felt. I felt happiness that once was, could be again, sadness, and confuzion! Where ever the "new" path of life may take you and your loved one I hope you find happiness and joy. Don't lose hope. May be hard at times but just remember you atleast have those good memories!   Ps. Take it one day at a time. Good Luck!
