Roses and thorns, lead me to you. In a canopy, of roses you lie. Saddened heart, now petrified. Unwilling, I lose this fight. Roses and thorns, on my hair, broken stems, are everywhere. Such intoxicating fragance, love's poison you've injected me. Only, you and I exist. Sacrifices, are long gone. You're love has surrendered me. Roses and thorns, on my hair, broken promises are everywhere. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

beautiful and too true. i liked the "loves poison" line. i read a quote once that asked if we should mourn because roses have thorns or rejoice because thorns have roses. awesome lesson. good times. You gotta love livin, cause dyin's a pain in the ass. |

Broken stems, broken promises...that first were born of love. Beautifully painful. |
