Listening to every heart

She Roams

feel the pull, feel the real
of spray’s foam and seagull’s peal
she roams to find salt float at her feet
but laughter is not found at sea

spring winds and changing tides
have taken the shy that she hides
and in the spray and crash of wave
lies the melody of her love, saved

saved for this day, beneath the sun
saved and cherished, as he is the one
to whom she gave her heart, with care
‘neath the midnight sky, with stars so rare

crashing, crashing, pounding salt to wound
he’d left, she’d cried, much too soon
but the spray’s foam calls her real
and she longs for the seagull’s peal

and now she roams the midnight beach
as cross the heavens her love shall reach

Very very poetic and enjoyable......another fine work by such a ray of sunshine.... take care dear poet lady!

Let her roam, soon she'll find her love. I loved this!
