In her garden gnomes peek out of the greenery Blossoms rich in color cascade down the hillside where squirrels scamper And she in yellow shorts and a hot pink hat sits within reading Raggedy Ann to the flowers Her little hands touching them delicately Tending their souls with a gentleness Leaving me in awe of her beauty This little girl who gives love and life to all she touches with a patient smile and an open heart "When people show you who they are, believe them" |

Sweet unconditional love exudes from the speaker's voice...you must be watching your daughter. Very nice poem. |

Hey Just a Woman, I liked this. It gave me a clear vision inside this dusty brain of mine. |

Love how the imagery of the flower garden is picked up in your daughter..with colors of yellow and hot pink...the squirrels scamper at the end of the first stanza flows nicely into the next...nice movement...then the delicacy in her and in the flowers ties this piece together beautifully...innocence is magic! "...reading Raggedy Ann to the flowers...." I like this poem very much....perhaps because my little girl, now grown up, is still my little girl. Bob |
