This evening, my mind raced
straight to you,
wanting to free itself
from it's verbal punishment
playing within.

You weren't there,
where you could have been found.
Time failed me, I was too late.
I am always too late,
behind the times,
my battery always run down.
It's the static within,
causes my watch to stop.

I am allergic to myself,
so they say, causing me
to eat away at myself
until one day,
I shall be no more.

Until then,
I shall hold onto thoughts of you,
trying day after day,
to get my timing right,
so that one day,
when I need you,
I will find you smiling,
waiting in anticipation,
both of us having
no regrets.

Oh yes, timing is everything it seems. I am always running late, missing that one opportunity that could maybe have made things work. You know, here's a thought, maybe it's them! They are off time, not us! What do you think?
Anyway, this was special. Be happy (even a little)

Very, very cool. I'm allergic to myself, too. I really like this.

Wow, for some reason, you're writing reminds me of myself and some of my experience. Nice.

Sandra
I have missed seeing you, I hope all is well...yes I believe it is their  timing that is off..not ours      or at least we  can believe that if we choose to

this was great

took me to thoughts of my own life, and someone who I am never on the same page with, and how I would love for us to find that place with no regrets...

excellent.
