Recite MeI wish to know desire's eyes as hunger searches starling skies. Let darkness brush temptation 'cross my cheek. One night to dream is all I ask, leave daylight's length to toiling task, for dreaming's sweet and echoed loverspeak. A single evening 'neath the blues and deep'ning greens of luna's hues, waste not one breath between our silvered kiss. For I have loved you, word and verse, recite me now, exquisite curse, if only waking's ache could leave me this. Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

I'm a fan, so what can I say. For I have loved you, word and verse, recite me now, exquisite curse, if only waking's ache could leave me this. Took my breath away... |

I wish to know desire's eyes as hunger searches starling skies. Let darkness brush temptation 'cross my cheek. ======================= for dreaming's sweet and echoed loverspeak. ======================= waste not one breath between our silvered kiss. For I have loved you, word and verse, recite me now, exquisite curse, if only waking's ache could leave me this. ======================== this is so very lovely... so fragile and delicate of verse. whisper brushstroke imagery laced with enchanting desire and longing. poetic perfection achieved in so few exceptional verses ... this is one of those poems that makes another poet say... I wish I had wrote this. excellent Claire, as always. oh you speak to me in riddles |

Some poetic creations I enjoy, some I admire, some I emvy. I wish I'd written something on this subject - approaching its written quality. (in other words: supurb! ) |
