I step closer toward the midst of cooing breeze, the caressing trees, warmth of summer's death. Over the crush of burnt scattered evergreen leaves, the Eucalyptus sigh, escapes her barren breath. Her amorous sway, a silky dance in the gray of night, coloured stars her mirror-ball, a Bush Curley her song. Her lover, a new Autumn moon, her Commander of light, somnolent branches and universe entwine, the night long. I am lost to the understanding of Natures unending, her shimmering blades and clovers of forest green. Where seducing creatures, lick the granite air feeding in perfumed landscapes, stimulating a world unseen. My senses swim the foreign depths of these phenomena where amethyst eyes unblinking stare me to my delicacy. Beside the riverbed, I now sit musing her mystical Aura surrendering to the implacable want of Natures ecstasy. Angel of Darkness 20th March 2001 I may know the word but not say it I may know the truth but not face it I may hear a sound a whisper sacred and profound but turn my head indifferent. Very beautiful Maree...actually? I found it to be quite, well, SERENE. I loved the personification here and the prevailing mood of wonder. Just lovely, my sista! |

"Stimulating a world unseen." There is a "Real World" beyond our "Shadow World", if others see it too. Great work, Maree!! "The poet is the priest of the invisible." |

"somnolent branches and universe entwine" (way cool line.."somnolent" very cool) and the inner rhyme added to its cadence pleasures very well done poetess. We wish ourselves beautiful, |

oh...this is great, great writing...I loved all lines but these are my favorite: "My senses swim the foreign depths of these phenomena where amethyst eyes unblinking stare me to my delicacy. Beside the riverbed, I now sit musing her mystical Aura surrendering to the implacable want of Natures ecstasy." ...really captures the mystical qualities of Nature, so well. Jellybean King |
