I Remember [#2] you oh you with the grin and the big ears and you called me "daddy's girl" but you would melt when you saw the form of her, and both of you, through glance, reassured I loved the stories that you told to me they were as good as gold and the stories she told of you a gentle man of handsome through and through neither of you entered lightly thus the word of marriage the world of trust but you had secrets she did not know and you kept her from them, so but when she learned of them, for only you she grieved, that your heart so big would heave a memory behind one that must have stayed on your mind for you were better than just being your father's child and whatever might have caused his wild she, O she gave her heart to only you, as you were the one you were her sunset and then the sun she could not bear it when you left although a proud veneer she tried to heft we all saw through to the truth of her she was your love of that, we were sure and now you both reside where you belong side by side and He sees your delightful forms and calls upon all of us to see once what was the norm |
