I awoke to yesterday, ...as had the day before, In search of my tomorrows, ...but tomorrows are no more, Adrift upon a tideless sea, ...no captain at the helm, Lost in eddys of the mind, ...in depths of overwhelm, Atop mainsail in crow's nest, ...a telescope in hand, I scan for far horizon, ...seeking out new land, Instead I see an island, ...the land from whence I came, Climbing down to wooden deck, ...I stand upon ship's bow, I gaze upon my yesterdays, ...I gaze on my anow. |

An interesting look at the convergence of and relationship between past and present, and at our role of perceptive participant. Nicely done. Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Very good. I really liked the nautical flavor of the poem. Betty Lou Hebert |
