After All ...sijo (a remake of if I failed)

If I failed to give to you, words of speak, nor dawning's touch
Would you then haunt every thought, knowingly, etched on my mind?
After all, you see through my silence, the wanting needs, pressing me.

Sensitive, in mornings wait, shadowing expectations
Like flowers wilting inside, thirsting for, receiving none
Treasured words, seedlings from your garden, to leaf me, bloom in feel.

Years have passed, many masks worn, many shed, in expose'
Behind sighs, memory held, silent words, red rose in hand
After all, as in nature's cycles, you too return, new in form.
