 ~Farewell, Winged Miracle~ I sigh a breath, dear one, for the majesty that you are I hold your monarch beauty, encased 'neath glass jar Destiny is defied to ensure that you're mine yet your glow now dims, your spirit has grown fragile over time My heart sheds a tear for the truth of reality you were meant to fly through valleys, free as can be In order to keep you, I know what I must do - open the lid to that jar and let go of you I must honour the fate of thee I adore and break your chains, allow you to soar To show you my love, I open my hands you were meant to be as one with eagles, to see distant lands Weave your colours in the air, flutter gently from my heart, greet the brand new life of wonders you shall now start Spread your wings with passion, exalted and free go to the Lord's garden of sky, out of reach, far from me Heaven bound upon a dove's air of peace, do fly with glee through rays of copper light for all eternity Though my soul shall never laugh again without you, to the sun and sky, I know you must be true Although we cannot embrace life together I remain devoted to the dream, cherishing you forever Do not look back as the breeze carries you away my heart understands that under glass, butterflies weren't meant to stay Farewell, sweet butterfly, I now let you go but remember, my winged miracle, I love you so *By Melissa Honeybee* The beauty of poetry gives my soul wings to fly free within dreams |

Melissa... I'm stunned...this is so....Devante` Your graphic is stunning and the poetry is beyond my words...sending winged hugs your way Ms. Honeybee....you have the heart of an angel...I know she needed this right now.. Holly ~ Thank you so much, I'm so glad that you enjoyed my poem, something just told me that I had to write it for her. And yes, isn't that graphic beautiful! I just had to use it for Janet Marie~ Marge ~Any compliment from you touches my heart, thank you! I do hope that she likes my dedication to the memory of Devante. I dont know what to say to this...Im so surprised and deeply touched... thank you so much for this exquisite poem ... and perfect picture to accompany it.. there are so many beautiful images and lines, I couldnt pick ... for you to be so beautifully inspired by my poetry of him means so much to me... and it lets me know his light and his gifts still shine and reach others. I read your reply to Holly ... and I wanted you to know..of the several other poets in here who have written butterfly poems..they too said the same thing... "something" just made them need to write ... thank you so much sweetie... and ya know what....your not a bee ... your a butterfly  and also know this will be a treasured gift printed out and placed with the other butterfly treasures. ~Butterflies are meant to be free~ |

Melissa, this is beautiful and I KNOW how much Jan loved it because I had her on the phone when I told her to go into Passions. I won't go into how it affected her but let me tell you, YOU MADE HER DAY a thousand times over. You penned the "perfect" poem for this tribute it is truely one of not only beauty but in poetic form, rhyme, flow, and overall content.........IT ROCKS!!!!! THIS is was Passions is all about and I thank you for being you. |
