Don't fight my eyes as they pierce your heart, You'll only gouge the wound. Don't pretend you couldn't love me, Or there will be two of us fooling ourselves. But then... Its too early to call it love, This certain warmth and comfort, And why should I trust in such things, Knowing their dangers and signs? Perhaps, Burned too many times I have become the ash, Only soft while slipping through, Your once loving fingers. yes, you knew once how to touch me, But now, At your boundaries, The bridge to the other side is out, And I'm too scared to swim acoss, Because I have this fear of drowning. its amazing now how the tables rotate, How i seem to need you now, But you don't need me anymore. I guess you've learned your lessons, Just as well and hard as I have. So Yes, we can still be friends, But what if we were to stop hiding, Behind excuses and circumstances? Can I be your willful breeze, Come to touch, Your heart to ease? |

It always amazes me how you can say things so wonderfully. . . how you use your metaphors with such style. . . how you get such depth out of them. . . you see things that most of us can't. . .
