People call me special, some might say I am different. The politically correct say I am physically challenged, to all these words I must agree. To an outsider I am special based on a disability, to those who love me I am special because I am their daughter, sister, and friend. Others say I am different, because I roll from place to place, I am different, of that I agree. My wheelchair doesn't make me different, I'm different because, I'm only me. Then there are the politically correct who say I am physically challenged. What does that mean, that I can't walk on two feet? I prefer a broader idea of walk, I stroll along a path with a friend. Yes, I am physically challenged, not by paralysis, but by physical, and emotional barriers brought on by human nature's fear of what cannot be comprehended. |

We don't know if you're physically challnged, but as long as you can write your thoughts so clearly, you can beat the odds. Good work. Joyce |

Hi Dawn, This one I can relate to and the lines that follow sum it up beautifully, wonderfully done, "Yes, I am physically challenged, not by paralysis, but by physical, and emotional barriers brought on by human nature's fear of what cannot be comprehended." Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |
