tieing the moon walked to a door left open, unprepared was sucked in, kicking and screaming pretending a boldness, encircled by vultures, I spit and clawed my way out of a snake pit only to cocoon myself, until discovering this beautiful garden. evolved like a butterfly, enticed by the scent, hungered by the nectar offered, desiring a taste of each, I traveled alone encountering nightmares and dreams. I could soar and sipped from each flower, a taste here and there fulfilling my needs, sometimes drowning in them. a year's journey on borrowed time coming to a close. visited a bit of heaven built of my own design, memories were made as the winds of change swirled around, taking me here and there lessons were learned, mistakes were made advice heeded and not. I now reflect: in the softness of touching in the trusting by choice fancy wrappings uncovered found a warm soothing voice. can be heard when I lay back relaxing each morn in my sea of vanilla as each new day is born. all the loneliness storms are now lifting from me I bathe lazily dreaming with the more, I now see. am exposed, lying naked nothing more to be shown you have seen, you have conquered nothing more need be known. being touched by the tracings of your eyes as you kiss and caress me in candlelight in my ocean of bliss. my heart's everlasting did you know, could you tell? was I wearing transparent did you see through my spell? was it me, was it you did we both really care? every moment in thought I grab on in despair. never noticing looks nor the words, nor the touch only feelings of tender... have I wished far too much? will it all end tomorrow by the morn, in it's wake or will dreams turn the corner and face what's at stake? can this moon be enticed tied in hold, 'til nights done? can I make it through dreams with my thoughts of just one? ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

Wynter, I think you'll make it. What a wonderful piece. It flowed so well throughout. Nicely done. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

That lonely aftermath is always a difficult time....but you'll do fine because you're such a great poet and person......someone will click on your right link...and you'll be in the pink again........I like these verses.... all the loneliness storms are now lifting from me I bathe lazily dreaming with the more, I now see. am exposed, lying naked nothing more to be shown you have seen, you have conquered nothing more need be known. never noticing looks nor the words, nor the touch only feelings of tender... have I wished far too much? will it all end tomorrow by the morn, in it's wake or will dreams turn the corner and face what's at stake? can this moon be enticed tied in hold, 'til nights done? can I make it through dreams with my thoughts of just one? The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |
