I can remember so much about you The way the sun glistened off your hair The way you always stepped over grates The looks we got riding down the hiway THe sound of leather creaking The whinny you always greeted me with When grain was more important than me The courage that I found with you The shoulder that you were The sore muscles I got from a fall The first time we got first The time you ran away from the cows When you bit that guy I didn't like When you were my soul companion Wehn I cried on you The many brushings you got Your personality that matched mine How we understood each other But what I rememeber most Is how you were there for me But I wasnt there for you Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

I had a horse when a young girl. I wasn't allowed to leave the yard walking, but could go anywhere while on my horse. They always knew "Sugar" would bring me home. Strange I hadn't thought of her in over 30 years. |
