Owing my allegiance to no one I step into the day listening to my own quiet thoughts Reflections whispered and sometimes answered I tend the flowerbeds soon to awake as the hint of spring dances lightly on the still cool breeze I have no needs No wants Other than my solitude Enough memories to last a lifetime and I accept each day Enjoy the beauty it gives so graciously and am thankful for having been blessed with the eyes in which to see it After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all. |

I like this, nicely done. An interesting concept to be through with needs, other than ones own company. Hard to get to this place for some of us. Sandra |

Well, we didn't have to wait long for more. Like your style, J A W. Enjoyed the quiet, unhurried sense of this. Thanks for sharing. Looking for more . . . |

A wonderful poem and a genuine way to live your life. I enjoyed the positive edge to this one very much. Kate Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood. T S Eliot |

Just a women, Sounds like you are recently being placed into a situation that puts u alone after being with someone for a time. I hope that the solitude brings you peace, for i feel the same, for this has happen to me also. But i also would love and hope that the one that has put me into the solitude you write here, comes back to the unity of the vows we made. Enjoyed your write as i have all the writes u done since being here. For besides being blessed with the seeing of your memories, but the seeing or the words to place on paper/screen for us to read. I'm going to go and find this challenge. Very nice job. It's good to give yourself enough credit to not owe your allegiance to anyone. ~Allan If I had your eyes, I'd be blind. For I can only see out of my own. ~~Carly Van Dort |

Sandra - So very true. I attempt to be thankful for all I have, which is truly so very much, and not to get caught up in too many needs. Thank you for your comment! Krawdad - Thank you! I appriciate that! thecraig - So very very true. Thank you! Kate - Thank you so much. I've enjoyed your writing also. Romy - Thank you! I like the lines challenges, was a great idea. BSlicker - Thank you for the compliment. Life can be, yes, a struggle - to find the lesson I guess of each difficulty. To learn from them. I hope you do also. Allan - I will look forward to seeing your poem using this line. I really liked this one. Thank you! Wynter - ONE day at a time! Thank you! After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all. |
