To Clone or Not to Clone...grab the phone! Virginia Salter ah, so close they are to doing so those maniacal scientists of new they’ve the way the knowledge now to replicate of you now in a world of shrinking lands and oceans teeming not why not make a human more than man can make each shot when food is shrinking in its health for larders bare and waste another mouth to feed my friend let’s do it now in haste what shall we choose whom shall we try enriching wealth of man? an Anglo for the liking to change the way the span of census taking counting alarms the dwindling numbered race is that whom we shall duplicate to save our wanton face? to keep the upper hand? © March 13, 2001 this was inspired by reading and hearing about the ability to clone a human and the move closer and closer to doing so, and an article about the census and the change in diversity from 76% white in 1990 and 69% white in 2000. Not meant to offend anyone, merely to be a satire and a bit provocative. |

It doesn't offend me. It terrifies me.... playing God is going to backfire. I want NO part of this crazy crap they are doing. I actually heard a scientist say that "someone" else had the ability to clone , so we better do it first. I was appalled. This is a mistake..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I like your thought provoking poem here VAS a good one! SEA |

Boy this is a subject I could take pages to write on but will say this, great poem and I totally disagree that there is any reason in the world for this to ever be done, think of the figures in history, and their genetics - without being specific, the thougth of it terrifies me. Great subject matter for a poem, and very creative. ~*~A poet is someone who reads more than they write ~*~ |
