Her wings are starting to open
She stops as the pain begins
Slowly, slowly unfolding when
The sun warms her from within

She stretches her wings to full width
Then flutters them for strength
The pain is gone as they fold to fit
And floats to the ground quick as a wink

She gets a glimpse of bright colors
As her wings re-fold in rest
Such beauty surely belongs to others
And this can only be a test

No God gave her beauty inside and out
Her light shines and warms you and me
The lovely colors brighten all about
My Butterfly is as special as can be

Love you my Butterfly
Thank you for being you

M_E,

That butterfly of yours is very special. I am honored to call her my friend. This was a wonderful write for her.

Hugs,
LW

Mom~
This is beautiful and brought many tears to
these eyes...proving that I'm no
butterfly...lol For you to weave such a
heartwarming poem especially for me though
touches my heart and makes me so proud to
call you my mom...as I always have... Love
you my mom...and thank you~

====================

beautiful loving tribute to her ME ...
you have captured her lovely winged essence well.
like mother ... like daughter ... poetry in the blood

Sprayed across my heart and hers
Danced butterflies in the wild
This angel, this woman ,
who loves me with the innocence of a child.

Janet Marie, she is stronger than I will ever be on those beautiful wings. Oh and the Monarch's are coming out down here. Thank you my Butterflies SS

Sven, I wear a glow from the warmth y'all show her. I am a moth (big one) compared to her. Thank you, sir

Martha Cowan thank you for such kind words. She is the youngest of 5. They are all talented in their own way, but I seem to bond more with her. Hugs....
