Spin the Hands

Let's crush
air and time between us
spin the hands of a slow clock
to the day we liven Vendue

Let's turn our eyes
to the polished glow of hardwood
where the post of an antique bed
is draped in a gown of emerald silk

And white and yellow gold bands
are partnered in a candlelit climb
along arching backs
as magnolia songs blossom in the
melding of souls

Where the air is salty crisp
and its evidence seen in the rustle
of teal satin drapes
their sway a mirror of our bodies
warmed in a quiet pour of my
life into your own

  Sir Robert Joseph,

Thy words can spin a tune
      so delightful, as to remind
      me of mine own chambers
      each eve, beneath the glow
of the moon, resting still by the
      candles flame, counting the moments
'til my love's return. And teal
curtains dust their edges upon mine
      oakened floors..Oh My...how this
doest sound my memories to mind.

Thanking thee for a most lovely read
      Lady Ollyne

Robert Joseph,
