A Signature of Sleep

Holding tightly,
swallowing deeper,
pressing breath
further within --
''yes, there is more,
more of me to surrender,
more of me to hover above you.''
Virtue seizes essence in
the touching of lashes --
eyes once and often dreaming
trade their salt.
Lips spent in wishes,
with no ear to brush in
their vapor --
find manifested language
upon beading skin.
In vice of balmy limbs
a new verse is born --
wreathing in a rush
around our spines.
Authored in soft content --
a signature of sleep now
kisses our eyes.

Robert Joseph - I do like your writings. I have read many, but find myself so busy that it is hard to reply. This one is very good in my book.
