none so rare as deathbed words none so rare as deathbed words slip into ears from a whispering breath as i lay alone in my wardrobed clothes but from your voice a spark does glow igniting passions before my leave tell me of our past and what we were were we as heroes deep in the fight or just folk of everyday plain(?) were we as gallant in our blazing paths or just we in our everywe world(?) hush of our children and their's again gather them around close to hear the story of who's blood flows through veins of us and us past and how we spilt scarlet fresh of all these things i wish said and of things remembered upon this bed of living and love, of sleep and death i want most to come from your lips something of you, i never knew m.a. miller 01.11.01 |
