I do not want to write my life
over--make it new again.
I simply want to claim the might
of authorship and write my end.

Every trial, every tear,
can make each blessing much more clear--
every blister on my foot
is callous of each step I took
and I am proud
to call it mine
won't even leave
a shadowed mime--
everything I did is song--
even the dirges sang at dawn.

Every tear that drops on keys
renews my faith of hope in me
coldness cannot be a cloak
and loving hands would never choke--

A planting happened deep inside-
A seedling watered by love's cry.

"coldness cannot be a cloak
and loving hands would never choke-"

"A planting happened deep inside-
A seedling watered by love's cry."

Life's love and pain can certainly teach us so much. It can turn experience into a reflecting feeling of happiness as the years pass. Celeste there certainly is no shadowed mime in your case...great write my dear Acadian girl!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

Well said-direction is the thing. Get knocked down, when you stagger up you will still know just what you seek.

Personally I think I am responsible for "authoring" all my life, good and bad.

Well said
