I love you with everything, Care when no one will, Waiting for the time to come, When things are right and still. Brown eyes sparkling, In the soft sunlight, A smile here, then a laugh, Girl, I love you with all my might. Eventually I work it up, Find the courage I've been searching for, I pop the question, feels as if I'm in the air, Then I get the answer, and I fall to the floor. I guess always I knew, expected, What it was you said. But I can't close my eyes Without seeing you in my head. I'm not one to give up on love, Maybe I can make you see, Show you, teach you, About how much you mean to me. Maybe not, but I must try, For the slightest chance I have. Maybe I won't win... Maybe some things I'm not meant to have... But I've got to try. Shouldn't be able to miss what you never had...so why do I miss her so? |
