In the Glomming

Opening new this page, a day,
where sky is smoky gray and moving
and seagulls slant within the curve
of listening surge of weather pushed
and dripping still upon impression.

I long for sun and sky of blue
so night will bring this full moon
now, that has been cast aside
to bloom behind the glomming.

Imagine how it does beguile
and turn the cumulous to glow,
and there, a stage lit by candle,
a star emerges thus, to sing
behind her flowing,
where wind has loosened
the dark strands slant
and cast them silver
much like lover's whisper.

Catch me now between you,
oh cloud and moon,
and I will dance across you thus
and melt into dream’s delightful.

For you see I wither here
lost from beam across bare shoulder,
covered in gown of cotton
white and wanting only spring.

And yet, your wet touched splendor
has dressed the ground in green,
and all around you bloom with jasmine
that fills the night in me with longing
coming through my heart of window.

So dripping still on my impression
my song has lifted and felt the rapture
of each day that brings in wonder
an opening new to page of time.

Oh ... to steal just one look through your 'heart of window'
would be heavenly.

Thank you for sharing such lovely poetic thoughts.
*Hugs* and much love~

Martie...this is really beyond words....
but you know me...I will go on anyway.
First of all this is just so appropriate ...
last nite I was coming home early eve and saw that incredible moon glowing orange as it rose and I smiled and said theres a "martie moon" ..then later I find this amazing moment of inspire from you....
I read this to Mark on the phone last night and we laughed together in our awe and amazement of the level you took this to.
The detail, the imagery, the turn of phrase,
and the purity of the emotions ...
the purity of the poetry.
I told him...I want to write like this when I grow up!!!
This is outstanding my dear poet...
you give us all sanctuaryin your verse ...
and something to strive for in our writing.

like I said sweets....sanctuary in verse.
-you--me.

some find subtlety alone
Your eyes,you see everything
my eyes,I see its all together now
and I know.

Every verse a treasure - i know i'm redundant when I say again one of your very best - but it is truly a treasure among treasures - I especially liked the 3rd verse

I may know the truth but not face it
I may hear a sound a whisper sacred and profound
but turn my head indifferent.
