Simple Shadows

Nothing present
In the dark
But let soft
Radiant spark
And there
To dance with me
A simple shadow
To lessen misery

For here
By one
Stand two
To dance
One day
The sun
Will then
Enhance

And should
You see a
Shadow, simple
In line of eye
In deep of dimple
In green pools
In lay of skin
A shadow’s
Dance to
Draw you in

Simple shadows
Cast their spell
Weave you in
Very well
Come and see
My shadows, deep
Where you may love
And become, complete….
