Seeing Through Time

I've tried to be the perfect me
although it can't be done.
Perfection is for those to strive
but never reached by one.

I wonder if the words are true
when said, he knows me real
the other one, the me I was
when I was full of zeal.

When everything I did seemed fun
my outlook positive.
I wonder if he sees through time,
knows all I have to give.

For in this last year ending
my hearts been torn in two.
The split has caused upheaval in
my thoughts and what I do.

I use to be the strong one
temperamental at my best.
But always would succeed in all,
no matter what the quest.

Endurance needed, that's my next,
I'm organizing fine.
Yet, wondering if I can last
the day of daily grind.

Each time I take the forward step
into my future's path,
I seem to stumble on the stones,
those thrown by words of wrath.

Time, they say has windows.
If so, he can see through
and maybe just a bit of me
is seen, what once was true.

Hi Wynter,

Yes strong but wise also and you always seem to have this awesome way of getting your feelings across, you will make it baby NO DOUBT about it!!! I wish I had just a small part of the strength you share in your poetry,
