To a voice that defines me that difference has made me see what I have truly lost of myself that overture of worth I once had. She has told me from the winds my friend that follows along whispering to hold back to think of whom I have become. She has told me her fears the anguish that she feels the fact that she has never had someone affect her so deep. She has called upon her strength to find out if this is pure by gently pushing me away yet loving me the same. She has opened my eyes closed for so long and forgotten that I must stand and be myself to love her fully as I do. And when the time does come her hand will take mine and press gently to her heart as we begin our lives. |

This makes me feel so afraid...and yet if it's meant to be, will it not be?! May your future be all you hope for and more than you could ever dream. |

To a voice that defines me that difference has made me see what I have truly lost of myself that overture of worth I once had. She has told me from the winds my friend that follows along whispering to hold back to think of whom I have become. ======================== the fact that she has never had someone affect her so deep. She has called upon her strength to find out if this is pure by gently pushing me away yet loving me the same. She has opened my eyes closed for so long and forgotten that I must stand and be myself to love her fully as I do. ==================== seems this love is a very wise whisper upon the wind... you are "of worth" ... and this kind of unselfish love is worth the wait... when both can "stand and be" ... love will allow both to stand as one... but then you already know that... this sincere, touching, beautiful poem says so take care poet of the wind jm baby can I hold you tonite ... maybe if I said the right words, at the right time ... you'd be mine. baby can I hold you tonite. ~tracy chapman~ |
