Browning Edges

Into my mind I shall crawl
this evening, longing for a moment
like the last. Remembering the soft scent
of Gardenia, as the petals paled
in comparison to the light
streaming in through yon window,
allowing only one shadow to appear.

As you came to me then,
armoured in desire, mine Knight
in shining eyes, bluer than the ocean,
deeper in want, mine heart pounded it's
rhythm, a poem all it's own.

Why is it that a moment
is only made up of seconds, yet
can last a lifetime in heart? That time
can stand still in a world of turmoil,
and pulled from memory
in a moment, grasped in thoughts, to
comfort the ailing.

As I lay each night in wonder,
there next to me rests a box
of treasured white. Thoughts from a moment,
and as I lift the lid, and tilt it slightly,
I can see the browning edges
of a memory, trying to hold on.

Missing You,
Lady Ollyne

Beautiful! I could smell the sweet scent of gardenia as you opened your memory box. *S*

LadyOllyne~
You know the nostalgia in this piece got to me.
Soft and lovely.

The edges may brown and wear, but the memory will never fade. Beautiful writing.

My Lady - ah yes, memories are made of this, and that. Lovely writing my Lady of the heart.

Yes, Lady, once a knight kisses you you'll never ever be the same again!

bowing

indeed poet fair. . . thou hast indeed again told a tale of love so wonderful, I am afraid that my words can hardly give it justice. . .

I thank thee. . .

Lady~ In a word, gorgeous. I loved the look into the memory box and all the great thoughts and images. A work well written.

Lady of the South
   A special box holds
   the scent of loving
in the form of the aging
   treasures kept safe
for a bit of memory touch.

Lady of Light
   A tug here and there
   keeps one aware
   of the hold that love
   has on us.

Lady Marge
   Past present and future
   thoughts are always
   there to give one pleasure.

Lady of the Lone Wolf
   Memories never fade
   they always bloom
   at the right  moment
every time they rise to mind.
   Thanking Thee
   for words of kind.
