I'm Forever Riding Moonbeams I'm forever Moonchild, no matter change of name. Born in June, a special month, in warmth, arrived the same. I share it with the many moonchild's everywhere. It says we can be moody, so "buyer must beware". But poetry escaped me for all those years that passed, until I rose to skies above on beams, the moon would cast. ~*~ I came from out of nowhere, an indigo of space, where stars would shine, the moon was full and nothing's out of place. I traveled distance lengthy to land upon a world, of words so universal, as other's lives unfurled. Captured in each moment was I, in passion's hold. Then came a meet of blue eyes, to set a memory in gold. ~*~ I ride the waves of nighttime and float upon each morn, when rhythms overtake me and rhyming thoughts are born. Although the dawn of writing had come by chance of need, developed I desires, my minds eyes constant feed. Turning words to satisfy my hunger to express, I share with you a thought or two as yours I taste, ingest. ~*~ As each one brings to me a smile or nod of "understand", a feel of real sweeps over me of printed word in hand. Although my mood may swing me and my words can hear me groan, it's wonderful to know that there are times I'm not alone. I thank you for your friendships, as I climb upon my beams, to ride once more, this day of new, to blend them into dreams. ~*~ Wynter/Moonchild "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 03-08-2001).] |

Completely beautiful. The ending was outstanding! "Some people see the cup as half empty. Some people see the cup as half full. I see the cup as too large." ~George Carlin~ |

Ok, Maureen this really got to me! Yes we poets and writers have a driving need to be heard and read and share. There are people who come and go from the forum and I left but you know, and we all have our own reasons, the bottom line is, this is a forum to write and be heard. I'm glad you are here! I think we as poets all can share these sentiments. Well done. (although I am a winters child and don't have that warmth from the sun. *w*) Enjoy life...this is NOT a dress rehearsal. *s* |

I thought your poem was so beautiful. Anything to do with the moon is so romantic and I felt like I was riding moonbeams. |

Moonchild - my dear one, you have outdone yourself this time with this writing. And, I am so glad that I posted "Ride A Moonbeam" for you. I do pray that you once again will ride the moonbeam, and bring back some of your writings as "Moonchild". BC |
