Transformation In Progress

you’ve come to me
out of the blue,
touching me..
in all the right places.

you went for my heart first,
then took a detour to my soul.
i am transformed by your love,
renewed in your spirit daily.

you’ve managed to move me,
taking me to a new dimension.
i am in unfamiliar territory,
i stand trembling at times.

but you offer me
your loving hand
and lead the way,
lest i lose my balance.

you know me so well,
and yet allow me freedom.
the choices i’ve made
have been my own.

you’ve been patient,
forgiving me,
loving me unlimitedily.
for this, and so much more,

i will honor you always..

I enjoyed this soothing piece. You did a great job conveying a sense of calm and peacefulness amidst transformation...as transformations can sometimes be somewhat terrifying...stepping into unkown territory. You seem to have found peace and fullfilment in the progress...Thanks for the great read!

I could not have said it better than Sir Jellybean! Wonderful!

After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all.

Someone sure loves the central person in your poem. I Pray their mutual freedoms inspire devotion & respect that is continuous.

When one leaves one bar on a tightrope to get to another, it is the space in between where we know not where our feet would land that is always the concern and some trust, faith, and acceptance is the only way to transform. You write of something I am sure so many can identify with, and beautifully done.

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats
