Gullible Virginia Salter Gertrude and Heathcliffe atop lamp-post perch rapt attention on guitar pickin’ Tony Turn in tandem ever on guard gray and white forms compliment soft clouds One by one each lifts off flits, soars dips dives disappears into the distance gone barren pole stark reminder © July 5, 2000 wrote this in the park, where a concert was going on and gulls were watching with us |
