Pale shadows from now, Haunted the dreams of my past, And in fear I would bow, Just so my dreams would last, And so I'd remain in dream, Never gave myself a break, I'd fool myself to keep dreaming, Even though I was wide awake, But now I see right though dreams, And float along on reaity's beam. The world doesn't stop for you, but you can stop for the world. |

Beautiful! and CONGRATS! A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

A well written reality check on your 1000th post. Congradulations! and may you write ten thousand others..........however, I do think that dreams are so very important but like Kipling says..."If you can dream and not make dreams your master If you can think and not make thoughts your aim." That seems to be the key...balance in all things and man! that's so hard to accomplish....take care and I wish you the very best in your endeavours.....ethome The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

Very well written, Moon Dust. Reality always has a way of sneaking up on you. Congratulations on your 1000th!!!! LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Thanks all, glad to be here Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |
