Gone

Helen,
Your gone.
Clothes all pack’d.
Your leaving is now fact.
Hoping your new live does well.
Keep in touch, for you know the cell.
For both of us, our wings can now spread.
To the direction you what your life to be lead.
The promises & advice of friends you never meet.
You can now act upon & then your life will be set.
You closed the door, to my Love in your heart.
Mother'd our children, don’t keep them apart.
Driveway, still waits for your car to park.
Your dog, Harper has lost his bark.
Door is open, to come home.
You don’t have to roam.
With all my Love.
Bernie

I read this several times because I love the emotion you're able to express in this. Or that you've expressed so well. Sadness, forgiveness, understanding, and love. Forgiveness of someones mistakes is a gift treasured, and you seem so willing to do that. Beautiful.
And excellent set-up!

This is sad, Bernie. You've got to try to trust that everything happens for a reason. Words, I'm sure that I will be eating later...sigh. Heartbreaking.

It won't help you to know that this same situation on your part is filled with remorse from her heart as well. But when some words are said, sometimes there is never a going back. I wish you the very best...I truly do.

dreamkeeper... thank you for seeing what i tried to release in my words. And this is the first time i have every tried to put a form like this together.. A real poet i am not, but have just been putting feeling to words.

serenity...thank you for your response, sad is not what i am trying to be though, trying to understand would be more like it. But to offer the mind and heart that was once there, and that it will never leave, though seperate and apart, still together.

Lady in White....A very true statement...ty

Thanks again....Bernie

Why do these things have to happen? Hopefully she will realize what she's seeking is right back in your arms.

This is full of emotions. Well written. Hope all your dreams come true.

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.
