Simply Loved

Did you know you can't make somebody love you.
It's totally true, you can't make anybody love you.
If you somehow thought you could you're wrong.
No, you're dead wrong.
You can't even make somebody like you.
So how could you possibly expect to make somebody love you.
That's much more complicated.
Love I mean.
If someone likes you they might just like your smile or your personality.
Could be your Mercedes, your Rolex, or that billion bucks they think you have.
But, if they love you they love everything about you.
And I mean just the naked you.
Not your possessions.
They just feel comfortable when they are in your presence.
They really actually want to be with you.
If love is involved you can just sit there and look at each other for hours and not even say a word.
Because you feel accepted and you feel desirable.
And you feel wanted and you feel needed.
You are simply loved.
Did you know you can't make anybody love you?
Why? I don't know why, but don't even try.

I've enjoyed your reflections on love and what it is and isn't. Have been pondering the same thing myself.

After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all.

Not being able to make someone love you.....yep.....can't do it, it won't happen. I don't think I'd want to "make" it , I'd much rather it was real from the get-go. I tried to make someone love me too.....sigh.....it was never right......excellent writing James

Your words are so true here. To be truly loved by someone or to truly love someone it must come from the person inside. Not possesions. Love comes and is given from the soul.
