Angels suffering with Heaven’s plight,
Through phantom winds that blow strong at night,
Bruising wings while in mid-flight,
Delivering God’s souls still new.

Their hearts still beat, through and through,
Not left behind for winds that blew,
But escorted in, by faith so true,
A bond so tight, it must be so.

Within those winds that always blow
Those angel’s wings to and fro,
A peace so placid, we could not know
Without looking into God’s eye.

For on this Earth, our eyes just cry,
Tears blowing in winds across our sky,
Unlike the ones where angel’s fly
Holding our souls, one and all,

Until it’s time for us to call
The winds that prevent our sudden fall
And guide us toward heaven, standing tall,
And those angels that lead us into the light.

Very nice intro, Embers! The form is unique to me and easy to read though likely not that easy to do. I'm thinking that the last stanza is to go back to the rhyme of the 1st stanza in its last line, right?

Embers, you have written a beautiful poem to share with us. My angels are getting on in years, but after they read this, they will perk up. Welcome and hugs, ME

Thank you all for the "welcomes". It looks nice and warm, comforting.

Thanks for the email, Sunshine.

Thank you, Kathleen, Mother_Earth and VAS.

I'm racking my brain, trying to recall a familiar poem title with this scheme for you VAS, but my mind is drawing blanks. You are right that the last line rhymes with the first. I'm not sure if there is a limit to the number of stanzas as long as the last goes back to the first. Perhaps someone with greater knowledge than I possess can help.

What a wonderful way to enter Passions! I must say "welcome" and that this is a fantastic read. I love the rhyme sequence you have here. Flows so nicely.

This is a beautiful poem, dear, and I love how you rhymed it! I've never seen anything like that, and I admire you for it.

Embers,

Excellent imagery here. So peaceful and serene in the flow and rhyme. Very nice writing for your first post here.

Welcome to the Passions family!!

My heart becomes euphoric just thinking of the truth in this wonderful piece. My compliments to you.
