Tonight, Cascading As warmth overflows and the storm rages on, here in my empty bed, pillowed tightly are my thoughts of you. In a world of real when sight and sound and touch are a passions delight, I bathe in the darkness of loving you. Unfolding are my dreams as they open to a world surrounded in beauty, like that found on a summers day. And I am transformed, heartbound on a journey, replaying those memories of then. Cascading, they touch me, as your lips gently pressed their want and drew my own in hold. Rushing in behind are the whispered memories, the teasing, soft laughing and smiles of childlike innocence, enjoying the view before each. Everything harvested, protected from the harshness of Winter shall emerge born of love and come the dawning of Spring we shall share again in the soft sighs of the awakening. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

Love the comparison here Wynter......the loneliness is covered by a blanket of dreams from the past...happy loving times that are still special in memory (as you mention they become so real).....dreaming about them and using the Spring as an illustration is wonderful smooth flowing writing.....and...you sure can write soft flowing smooth poetry with the very best of them..... The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

as soon as I finish typing this reply - you know what I will do: head for the bed - grab that cozy comforter- wrap my arms around the pillow - and dream a most extravagant fantasy This is wonderful Wynter |

Ahh Wynter, a double header, two outstanding poems paying tribute to pure love, something that is sorely lacking in the world today.Fantastic reads both!! Brian |
