I know
someone will love me
for who I am
and who I could be.
Until that day
I will patiently wait.
For fools rush in
and deserve their fate.
I know
somebody will see
the woman inside
who yearns to be free.
I'll know it's him
when his eyes meet mine.
We'll be perfectly matched
just like rhythm and rhyme.
He'll love me for more
than the sway of my hips.
He'll enjoy my mind
as much as my kiss.
He'll hold me tight
when I feel out of control
and when I need to be free
he'll loosen his hold.
And I may be dreamin'
but let me dream on.
I know I'll meet him
before too long.
